Position Overview

As an Online ESL Teacher with iTutorGroup, you will conduct one-on-one and small group English lessons (up to 4 students) via the company's proprietary video platform. The role offers flexible scheduling, with classes available around the clock to serve students across multiple Asian time zones. All curriculum materials, lesson plans, and teaching resources are provided through the platform.

Classes typically run 25 or 50 minutes, and teachers can choose to teach as few as 5 hours per week or work full-time hours. Peak demand periods include weekday evenings (7 PM – 11 PM Beijing time) and weekend mornings. The platform's smart scheduling system automatically matches you with students based on your availability and teaching specialization.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver live, interactive one-on-one and small group English lessons using iTutorGroup's proprietary classroom platform
• Follow provided lesson materials while adapting your teaching approach to individual student needs and proficiency levels
• Provide pronunciation correction, grammar explanations, and conversational practice in a supportive learning environment
• Complete brief post-class feedback reports for each session, noting student progress and areas for improvement
• Maintain a professional teaching environment with clear audio, good lighting, and a distraction-free background
• Participate in optional training sessions and peer review programs to continuously refine your teaching skills

Requirements

• TEFL / TESOL / CELTA certificate (minimum 120 hours) — Required
• Bachelor's degree or above in any field — Required
• Native or near-native English proficiency
• Stable internet connection: minimum 10 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload
• A computer with webcam and a headset with noise-canceling microphone
• A quiet, well-lit teaching space with a neutral background
• Availability for at least 5 hours per week during iTutorGroup's peak scheduling windows
• Basic familiarity with online teaching tools and digital classroom platforms
