Position Overview

As a Cambly tutor, your primary role is to engage students in natural English conversation, helping them practice speaking fluency, pronunciation, and everyday vocabulary. Sessions are typically 15–30 minutes long and conducted through Cambly's built-in video platform, which includes a chat function, translation tool, and note-taking feature for vocabulary and corrections.

You have complete control over when and how long you log in to take calls. There is no minimum hour requirement, no penalties for missing shifts, and no need to follow a fixed curriculum. Students arrive on the platform with diverse goals — some want to practice business English, others want casual conversation, and many simply want to improve their listening comprehension through regular practice.

Requirements

• Native English speaker or equivalent proficiency
• TEFL / TESOL certification preferred but not required
• No degree required — Cambly values conversational ability and interpersonal skills
• Reliable internet connection (minimum 12 Mbps download / 3 Mbps upload)
• A computer with a webcam, microphone, and a quiet environment for calls
