Position Overview

As an Online English Teacher with LatinHire, you will conduct one-on-one conversational and business English sessions with adult professionals across Latin America. The role is entirely remote with maximum flexibility. Lessons are conducted via LatinHire's proprietary video platform with built-in tools for vocabulary tracking, lesson notes, and student progress monitoring.

Most sessions run 25 or 50 minutes focusing on practical English communication. LatinHire provides conversation topics, business English scenarios, and structured discussion guides that you can use as-is or adapt. Peak hours align with Latin American business schedules (9 AM – 9 PM EST, Monday through Friday).

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one English conversation sessions with adult professionals from Latin American countries
• Focus on practical business English, workplace vocabulary, presentation skills, and professional communication
• Provide patient, encouraging corrections on pronunciation, grammar, and word usage
• Use provided conversation topics and business scenarios to structure engaging lessons
• Complete brief session notes after each lesson to track student progress
• Maintain a consistent teaching schedule to build recurring student relationships

Requirements

• College student or graduate — currently enrolled university students are welcome
• Native or fluent English speaker with excellent communication skills
• TEFL / TESOL certificate — Preferred but not required
• Intermediate Spanish or Portuguese is helpful but not mandatory
• Stable internet connection: minimum 2 Mbps download / 2 Mbps upload
• A computer or tablet with webcam and headset
• Patient, friendly, and culturally sensitive personality
• Availability for at least 5 hours per week during Latin American business hours
